As we’re rounding off 6 months of life during COVID-19, everyone’s stress levels may be back at an all-time high. But the fall can be a great time to re-energize and re-fresh with the changing of the season, and since we spend the majority of our time working (either at home or in the office) a great place to start is the workplace.
A healthy workplace is one in which the organization cares about the physical and psychological health and safety of its employees and establishes systems and programs to achieve and maintain exemplary health. A comprehensive healthy workplace consists of 4 elements: healthy lifestyles; physical environment; corporate social responsibility; and mental health and workplace culture.

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has created Working Toward Mental Wellness: A toolkit for employers, which seeks to illuminate the distinctive character of mental wellness in the workplace, outline the case for action and provide resources for starting this conversation across workplaces.
